GENERAL ELECTRIC: A Short Astro-View  Where next??

First Trade May 27th, 1926 10.00am LT NY

By the time that you read this, Uranus (by either helio or geocentric position) will have completed one and a half orbits of the zodiac from the position held at the incorporation of General Electric in April 1892.

Uranus is associated with chaos, disruption, discontinuity, upset, rebellion, revolution and upset. Uranus opposing itself suggests the potential for a dynamic change of direction: bringing both the potential for exciting development but yes, share price volatility too.

My basic rule of thumb is that if a forecast cannot be backed up by at least three astro-signatures, then it should not be made.

In this instance there are at least five factors that I consider to be drivers of potential product and service development as shown in the Incorporation chart for GE and which should- eventually – lead to major change in share price. The timing of dramatic share price change is apparent through analysis of the First Trade chart but the reasons behind that to be found in the Incorporation chart.

Even a quick review of the Incorporation chart reveals the following:

  1. The aforementioned Uranus opposition signals a fresh outlook and potentially exciting development of new products and services.
  2. In 1891-2, Neptune and Pluto formed their most recent conjunction – at approx. 8 Gemini. Mars crosses this degree in Q2 2019 within the time frame of the Uranus opposition and should act as an energiser
  3. Saturn – the anchor or dead weight – crosses the natal Mars position. With this transit completed (later in 2019), a project could achieve regulatory satisfaction and be ready for sale.
  4. The building trine aspect between transiting Pluto and natal Saturn (at 24 Virgo and which becomes exact 2020/2021): a sound and reliable service or product on offer and, perhaps, linked to re-cycling?
  5. Transit Neptune moving to sextile natal Mars: good marketing

All this said, I am cognisant of the fact that Chiron is now moving through Aries. Whilst I have yet to study thousands of charts, what I have seen so far alerts me to the danger of collapse and loss as Chiron moves across a solar position. (This applies particularly if Chiron crosses the solar degree of the Chief Executive: a chart not used in this writing).

Chiron has though crossed these degrees of the GE chart before – and survived – twice. On both occasion GE has been involved in new ventures that have proved costly and unsuccessful. The most recent crossing (transit) was in the late 60s and early 70s when GE joined forces with Bell Laboratories to develop the Multiscoperating system on a mainframe computer. The project was not a commercial success though the investment of time and money was not entirely wasted as other ideas developed from this initiative.

It is not unreasonable to conclude that GE might well be seduced into similar projects in the coming years and that though these might yield reward later, that initial development will be costly and that this will be a contributing factor to low share price.

As explained, it is necessary to review both the chart for First Trade along with the Incorporation chart, to determine likely trend in share price.

The First Trade chart shows clearly that this was always going to be a ‘popular’ stock: Again, 5 key factors

  1. A Full Moon chart with the Moon at 6 Sagittarius (global appeal)
  2. Vesta exactly aligned with the North Node in Cancer. (a sound but exciting investment)
  3. Venus EXACTLY conjunct the Midheaven (a front runner)
  4. Sun EXACT parallel Pluto (a wealth provider)
  5. Pluto on the Sun/Moon midpoint with Mars on Sun/Uranus (building strength and exciting opportunity)

The list goes on………..

 

The links between Incorporation and First Trade are as powerful:

  1. Both have Moon in Sagittarius with only 3 degrees separation.
  2. The lunar South Node is exact on incorporation Mars
  3. First Trade Saturn is on Incorporation South Node
  4. First Trade Chiron is within 2 degrees of Incorporation Mercury

From this it seems appropriate to say that the relationship between those who invest in this company has very real bearing on GE’s organisation, administration and product development.

Before considering what the future might hold, it is worth mentioning that at First Trade, Chiron was positioned close to the Ascendant (9 Leo) at 11 degrees of that sign. This suggested that this degree area – and the squares and opposition to it – warranted careful study.

On the last day of January 2018, there was a lunar eclipse at exactly this degree. Though there was no major price activity that day, this may have been an important factor is ‘sensitising’ this degree area. A few months later, Mars stationed in aspect to this degree. This was followed by Mercury stationing ON this degree in August of that year, and was followed by Venus stationing at right angles to it in early October 2018.

It is interesting that at the Mars, Mercury and Venus stations in 2018 that the price level was virtually the same: $12.

Mercury is due to station at 11 Scorpio (right angle to this degree) in November 2019 and could see a return to this price.

From this astro-analysis, what might we expect of GE stock in the coming months?

2019-2020

The key transits affecting the First Trade chart in 2019-2020 are

  1. Pluto’s transit of the South Node (undermining value)
  2. Saturn’s opposition – and station – opposition Pluto (forcing the price down)
  3. Uranus’ transit of natal Chiron (attention to negative factors and again pushing the price down)
  4. Neptune’s opposition to Mars (weakening price)
  5. July 2019 Solar eclipse within 3 degrees of natal Pluto (potentially lowering)

Again, the list could go on………

Yet by Mercury’s November station, and with the above aspects on the wane, the outlook for 2020 using the First Trade chart appears positive:

Again, using the 5 point system

  1. Pluto leaves the South node and moves to sextile Saturn and trine Mercury (revival!)
  2. Neptune trines both natal Saturn and Vesta (price rises)
  3. Uranus continues its square to the Ascendant and Chiron (a break through)
  4. Saturn trines itself and sextiles Mercury (consolidating and then proving trade-worthy)
  5. Jupiter crosses the South Node (encouraging investment)

Planet Sign analysis

A review of the sign position of the faster moving planets geocentric sign positions between 1980 and the present (38 years of data) shows that GE share prices tend to rise most when Mars moves through Virgo (August 18 – October 4th 2019), or when Venus moves through Capricorn (in 2019, November 26 – December 19, 2019) or with Mercury moving through Sagittarius (December 9th – 29th).

The over-lapping of the Mercury and Venus positions (December 9th to 19th) suggests that this could be a positive 10 days for GE: perhaps heralding better times in 2020.

As a final point of interest, a review of the Lunar Apogee and Perigee positions over the last 3 years reveals a pattern warranting more research. It would appear that GE stock is sensitive to this cycle: turning downward from apogee on no less than 28 occasions out of the 37 researched. Much more work to do – but intriguing.

Parliament – 17th century repeats?

17th Century repeats?

We know that the cosmos doesn’t do EXACT repeats yet it is tempting to look back to similar planetary pictures and wonder to what degree themes will repeat.

There is a date for the ‘first’ sitting of the Westminster Parliament on 20 January 1265 (though the exact time of the event is unknown).

Even without that exactitude, we can review the planetary pictures of the day and find – unbelievably, that the Sun was EXACTLY conjunct both Eris and Sedna at 8 Aquarius. In the last 1000 years Sedna and Eris have only aligned 7 times –as viewed from Earth. Each of these seven events took place between 1263 and 1265. There has been no conjunction since! Clearly 1263-1265 was a very special time indeed. There was only one date in that time frame when the Sun also aligned with this conjunction.

The inauguration of this parliament on the very day when the Sun too was at 8 Aquarius goes a long, long way toward explaining the durability of the Westminster parliament and, since both Sedna and Eris have strong ‘feminine’ roles, perhaps says something about Westminster as being seen as the ‘Mother of Parliaments’.

Though the Sun has transited this chart 754 times since 1265, using the solar arc method of forecasting, the solar arc Sun has travelled just a little more than twice around the chart. With the distribution of planets in 1265, Mercury is behind the Sun and by Solar Arc has only just reached Pisces. It is this that may well have been a crucial factor in the mercurial chaos of recent months (complete with Gemini or Mercury-ruled Prime Minister Johnson)

In the last few weeks, – in fact since Johnson’s decision to prorogue parliament as indicated mid August as Mars opposed solar arc Mercury, – the transiting stellium in Virgo, opposing the solar arc configurations have aggravated confusion. Though there has been much talk of attention to detail conclusion and practical arrangements have yet to be agreed.

The last time that this solar arc pattern occurred was in the mid 17th century when Cromwell took control of parliament.

As stated, the cosmos doesn’t do exact repeat performances. Whilst the chaos might appear similar we are unlikely to see that repetition.

That said, more upsets are on the horizon

In 2021 and 2022, solar arc Mars affects both Uranus and then Pluto, to be followed by solar arc Saturn opposing Pluto in 2024. The arc events of 2021 and 2022 indicate struggle, upheaval and yes, perhaps even explosion, followed by complete upheaval but potential re-establishment in 2024.

We should of course note that the very fabric of the building is under duress presently. Big ben is draped by plastic and scaffolding whilst the interior of the Palace of Westminster is in desperate need of repair and overhaul.

It has long been mooted that the building is ‘wrong’ in other ways and that it is time for central government to be literally that – ‘centred’ in the heart of the country. Many are mystified by the workings of the Westminster village as it is known to politicians and journalists both of whom seem so very out of touch with the public. Perhaps things would be different if Westminster became a tourist zone and a new parliament convened elsewhere. (The very brilliant astrologer Roger Elliott made a forecast years ago that parliament would be moved north post 2012. He may not be many years out)

How though can we make practical use of this information? If we concede that we are witnessing the collapse of a system, what will replace it? – and when?

Fact is that before 2026, Neptune, Pluto, Eris and Sedna will all have changed signs. Note that the first two do so every decade but that it is over half a century since Sedna last made ingress (1966) – and many thousands of years since that planet last moved through Taurus and Gemini. We are about to enter truly uncharted waters.

What we know that is that Neptune will move into Fiery Aries, Pluto into Aquarius (Air) and Sedna into Gemini (Air): major contrasts to the present line up in Pisces (Water) Capricorn and Taurus (Earth). Not only does this signal the rapid developments and deployment of artificial intelligence but also the probability of the development of a new political system. Those focused on the arcane procedures of the past might make better use of their energy by focusing instead on how every individual could have their voice heard.

Market Notes October 2018

MARKET NOTES OCTOBER 14TH 2018

The planets didn’t disappoint and markets turned down after Venus’ station (October 5th) and markedly after Mercury entered geocentric Scorpio on October 10th.

The next Full Moon on October 24th is the first of its kind since 1936 immediately prior to one of the greatest slides in stock market history.  It should be recalled that when the Full Moon aligned with Uranus in September 2008, Lehman Brothers collapsed.

Heliocentrically Venus moves into Taurus on 24th and immediately aligns with Uranus – which should be good for precious metals. Possible gold price rise.

Just two days later, the Sun and Venus align as the so-called crash-cycle reaches its next phase. We should expect major market moves on Friday 26th.

Note: looking at the long-term, history may yet show just how precarious stock markets have become. If history repeats, then, as in 1937, 2019 could see the Dow fall by over 40%.

Company Notes: October 14

COMPANY IN THE NEWS: PATISSERIE VALERIE

Here in the UK, Patisserie Valerie whose IPO was 19th May 2006, has narrowly avoided receivership by a £20m loan injection. Its finance officer was briefly arrested but later bailed.

Could study of planetary cycles have led to a forecast of these events? Probably.

Of course Patisserie Valerie was not the only business to come to market that day and the others are not in this predicament. The link between Patisserie Valerie’s registration in 1926 and the IPO date reveals why this company is experiencing present difficulties.

For the moment though I’ll focus on the IPO date and suggest 5 astro-reasons as to the reason behind recent challenges.

  1. MARS: Rising at 20 Cancer in the IPO chart and presently challenged by Pluto (take-over in 2019?)
  2. MARS again: in final quarter square to Venus (18 Aries) in the IPO chart and Venus and Mars presently in similar aspect – the challenge of the IPO repeated in the sky. NB. The final IPO share price was lower than expected.
  3. MARS – again! Has been retrograding over the Moon-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius (fraud or tax difficulty) – a situation that should resolve by the Full Moon on October 24th
  4. NEPTUNE (miscalculation or fraud) has been conjunct IPO Uranus in Pisces for the better part of a year. Technical issues could be at the root of present difficulties i.e. no fraud, just maladministration.
  5. JUPITER: Recent Jupiter return (and at the IPO retrograde). Possible over expansion and again, suggesting lack of accounting regularity – difficulties not yet fully exposed.

 

FORECAST: Astro-signals suggest a take-over in 2019

Silver Index

SILVER

Research suggested that the geocentric passage of Mars through Virgo was important  for both the silver index and for sterling (more on that in another article later). This drew my attention to early September when I thought both the silver index and sterling might see sharp moves.

At the New Moon in September 2019, the silver index reached $19.67. The last time it was over $20 was in July 2014.  I was particularly interested in the September New Moon as not only would there be a stellium in Virgo, but this would take place just a few days before the Sun and Mars aligned in that sign for the first time since 2004 – but in a quite different degree area (21 Virgo). The recent conjunction took place at 10 degrees Virgo – at right angles to an already identified 9-10 area of the Mutable signs where silver had reached major turning points in the past. I figured that it might be worth purchase of this index at the lunar eclipse in July with a view to selling in early September. If this trade proved profitable, this would give ideas to other possible trades in 2020.

Since I anticipate that both gold and silver will do well in February and March 2020 when once again there is a build-up of planets in Earth signs, I wondered if the September New Moon would prove a key date. If that proved to be the case, then it may be that concentrated activity either at 10 Mutable or perhaps a stellium in Earth signs would see similar activity.

Silver futures trading began on the Chicago Trading Exchange on July 5th 1933. The chart for this event, based on 09.30 local time, shows an interesting angle between the Solar and Saturn position. The two are almost 150 degrees apart with Saturn at 15 Aquarius. This degree lies exactly half way between a Solstice and Equinox point: a zodiac marker of much significance.

The very fine financial astrologer Jack Gillen suggested that calculating a chart for the moment when the Sun reached this exact degree each year – and from this focusing on the lunar position, would yield clues as to how silver prices would fare in the ensuing months. The Sun passes this degree in February each year. Research suggests that though this method is compelling; potentially signalling a bumper year for silver in 2022 when, as was the case in 2011 when silver reached a high, there is a Moon-Neptune conjunction in this derived chart.

Affirming potential for price increase in 2020, Jupiter makes hard aspect to the Solar position in the 1933 chart. Jupiter conjoined this position in August 2013 when the price rose in the weeks leading into the aspect, peaking at the aspect and then falling. Jupiter opposes this solar position at the end of January 2020. Of course one cosmic event is not enough on which to base a forecast. However, since this event coincides with Mars’ transit of the Sagittarius Moon in the 1933 chart, it may be that investors feel compelled to invest and that this results in a spike in prices. The potential for silver attracting attention is further exaggerated by a conjunction of Venus and Neptune in Pisces – and as Mars makes major aspect to Mars in the NYSE chart: another indicator that investors, threatened by falling share prices, might be drawn toward silver, resulting in an upward push.

Carter Memorial Lecture

Carter Memorial Lecture

It is a great honour to be asked to deliver the Carter Memorial lecture but since it is a ‘once in a lifetime’, requires careful thought before acceptance. The terms are interesting in that the lecture must be given twice: once to the Astrological Association and once to the Astrological Lodge of London. It must also be written up for the journal. As someone who makes full use of power point, the latter was always going to be a challenge!

Several factors brought me to the decision to accept: firstly that the very first Charles Carter Memorial lecture was given on my birthday in 1970: as it happens a day I remember well. The happy events of that day are treasured memories. I noted too that on September 9th (when I would give the lecture at the AA conference) that Jupiter would make Libra ingress and that the following day would mark the last quarter phase of the Saturn-Neptune cycle. My Sun sits exactly on their midpoint.

Since the cosmos seemed to be selecting me for the task, I then turned to the list of previous lectures to discover that three of the astrologers I greatly admire had given their Carter Memorial lectures with Jupiter in Libra. The most recent was Andre Barbault who was interviewed about the Uranus-Neptune cycle and globalisation. Mike Harding centred his lecture on the Saturn Neptune cycle.  A Jupiter cycle earlier Jeff Mayo, whose Teach Yourself Astrology was the first book that I ever bought on the subject, gave his lecture on the Future of Astrology. It is interesting that we all have planets in early degrees of Libra. I focused on this to arrive at the title ‘The Elegant Universe’.

At that time of choosing the title, I was captivated by the work of Hartmut Warm – not an astrologer but a master cosmic mathematician whose work on celestial signatures and the mandalas created by the planets is exceptional. The intricate pattern formed by successive Saturn Neptune cycles as viewed from Jupiter had me enthralled (fig 1.) The elegant simplicity of this mandala and the links I sensed between those earlier talks gave me confidence to progress. I knew then that I wanted to focus on potential developments in astrology between now and the next Saturn Neptune conjunction – in 2026, which is at 0 Aries and to which Jupiter’s position at 0 Libra on September 9th could be considered pointing.

I wish, however, that I had studied the chart for the first delivery more closely. Neptune was rising and despite the fact that several rehearsals took place beforehand, I managed to omit a whole section – a situation put right when I re-delivered the lecture to the Lodge in October and inserted into this script.

I gave some thought to Charles Carter himself and wondered what he would have thought both of my work and of where we are with astrology today. He was born on 31 January 1887 with a large stellium in Aquarius in which the Sun was at 11° of Aquarius exactly trine my own. He was also born with Uranus at 12 Libra sitting within a degree of my solar position.

Perhaps one of the things he would have enjoyed hugely would be the advances made by both amateur and professional astrologers with access to computers. I have no doubt that he would have enjoyed getting rid of the tedium of hand drawn charts and calculations and the exquisite bliss of being able to do very sharp and fast research.

Linking his work to my own, I’m certain that we would have enjoyed many conversations both about mundane astrology and the various techniques that can be employed with ease thanks to fast computerised calculations. I think he would have approved too of what I wanted to achieve in this lecture:

I see coming to a conference as gaining a fix. I attend many conferences during the course of the year – not all of them astrological. There are many reasons why I attend these: not always to deliver lectures. What I find is that when you are with like-minded people – your tribe – and whether or not that’s with traders, musicians or in this case astrologers, the connections – or re-connections act as a re-boot: a ‘fix’. Hopefully, at the conclusion of a conference we all have renewed enthusiasm and reignited passion. However supportive friends and relatives may be, there is nothing quite like being with those to whom you can speak and enjoy the shorthand of – in this case – astrological language.

Charles Carter is likely to have agreed with me that conferences are essential. However wonderful social networking via the Internet is or can be, there is something very special about sharing physical space with those who share our love of astrology. I do wonder though if he would have been as exasperated as I am sometimes with the lack of annual co-operation with those from other disciplines. We have so much to offer one another. Far from scientists being ‘repelled’ by astrology, I suspect that many would be intrigued by it.

This thought led me to reconsider the title. It ought, perhaps to have been our Electrical and Elegant Universe. Kinesiologists and others recognise that we are all bundles of energy with the potential to excite and energise one another. To do this, we need to be together. So, long live conference and thank you for being here and ensuring that the collective astrological energy is re-charged.

No questions are permitted at the conclusion of the Carter Memorial Lecture which is intended to be thought-provoking. With that in mind I want to share with you information that is altering my astrological thinking and prompting me to question certain long-held thoughts about the interaction of the planets. I would like to begin by focusing on the ‘electrical universe’ and will return to the ‘elegant universe later.

Charles Carter would surely have delighted in the increasingly valuable information that comes from NASA and other space agencies. We are learning far, far more about our solar system, our galaxy and beyond. Yet this surely must require us to take a fresh look at astrology too.

Many of you will know that I have a fascination with the Sun. Its output is variable though, as yet, we do not know why this is so. Whatever your age, you haven’t lived through a sunspot cycle like the one we are experiencing today. You probably know that there is an 11.2 year sunspot cycle. In fact this is the average. Even with all the data collected over the last couple of hundred years, scientists cannot be sure when the present cycle will end and the next begin.

These cycles are numbered. We are coming to the end of cycle sunspot 24. The next cycle sunspot 25 ought to start at the end of this decade but whether or not that’s in 2019, 2020 or 2021 we don’t yet know. The point about this is that each one of these cycles is quite different to the last. In any one of these cycles you could have as many as 200 sunspots at solar maximum. This most recent cycle has barely reached 100. In fact, numbers have fallen below 50. This is what helioseismologists call a quiet cycle. It is more than a little worrying that the next cycle (25) might contain no sunspots whatsoever. This has implications for terrestrial weather and thence for crop cycles.

Yet for as much as the sunspot activity is quiet, the Sun’s energy is not actually diminishing. Indeed Dr Mike Lockwood in California has been measuring its magnetic power and discovered that it stronger by about 230% compared to the 1970s. It doesn’t take a huge stretch of the imagination to think that if the Sun is emitting this much stronger magnetic pulse, that that must affect each and every one of us. Indeed it has to affect every cell on earth.

It seems too that this increase in energy from the core of the Sun is impacting the planets. From this, I have come to the conclusion that some of our definitions: those that we associate with particular planetary line-ups, no longer work quite as they have done in the past. If it is indeed the case that the planets themselves are altered and radiating or emanating a different kind of vibration then all of that can be better understood.

Consider these facts about our solar system: in the last few decades the Moon has been growing an atmosphere. Apparently there is now a layer of natrium about 6000 km wide.

Mercury’s magnetic field is definitely increasing whilst the aural brightness on Venus has increased over 2500%. The ice caps on Mars are melting and there is a 200% increase in the brightness of Jupiter’s colours. Apparently there are x-rays now emanating from the centre of Saturn and increased brightness on Uranus. By the way: scientists used to describe the atmosphere on Uranus as calm. That has changed. Neptune is apparently 40% brighter than it once was and Pluto – whether or not you want to regard it as part is a planet in our system – has seen a 300% increase in its atmospheric pressure. It is worth while taking a moment to reflect on the developmental changes to our respective ruling planets.

I also want to talk just for a few minutes about where the solar system is and where it’s headed. Our solar system sits right at the edge of the Milky Way. Apparently not too far from this there is a glowing and growing plasma. Nobody actually knows exactly what that is, but what we do know is that it’s over 1000 times brighter now than it was. Clearly our solar system is now passing through an area of space that is infinitely more energised than the one that was we were passing through when the first Carter Memorial lecture was delivered.

Many of us were born pre-that lecture and, at least in these physical bodies, arrived when the solar system was moving through an area of space that was significantly quieter to the one experienced today. Colleagues and friends that I’ve spoken to in the course of the last year have consistently – and without being led – come out with statements such as ‘there’s a very weird energy around’. They may be correct.

Those born post-1989 (the most recent solar retrograde) arrived under very different space conditions. My experience so far suggests that these people are experiencing the arrangements of the planets very differently to the way in which earlier generations have done. From my perspective, this group are set up to cope with a completely different voltage – which is confusing and, at times, perhaps even repellent, to some older astrologers.

In recent times social, economic and political developments across the world have been put down to the Uranus- Pluto square – which must surely play its part. It may be that the position of these two planets relative to the Sun and how the Sun is impacting on their relationship is key to the apparently high-voltage energy apparently at work. I think though that conditions in the space through which our system is travelling should also be considered.

If you leave with nothing else from today’s lecture then please do research solar activity at your birth. If you were born on a day of low sunspot activity, then perhaps you can cope better with the diminishing sunspots of the present but if you were born during a period of high activity then you could experience the coming years as more challenging.

I know this is all away from the planets and our usual horoscope that I do think it’s something that we could discuss further and certainly perhaps even get astrophysicists in to discuss this with us. Certainly I am sure that dialogue with those from other disciplines is long over-due. I am confident that we have as much to offer today’s molecular biologists as they do us. If Charles Carter were alive today, he would advocate the same. Certainly his chart suggests a scientific and enquiring mind.

The universe may well be super-charged, yet it is also a place of great elegance. The mathematical relationship of the cycles of the planets – and the Sun and Moon – results in the exquisite precision we can appreciate when looking at the planetary mandalas created by Hartmut Warm.

In Mike Harding’s superb work ‘Hymns to Ancient Gods’ he devotes a chapter to the Saturn –Neptune cycle. Within this he refers to the building of cathedrals whose construction coincided with key phases in this cycle. The architectural elegance of these amazing structures might be described as offering a ‘frozen music of the spheres’. The geometry of these structures is mesmerising and fantastic and sometimes – as with Chartres Cathedral – pays obvious homage to the cycles of the planets.

Long before these structures came into being though there must have been idea: a seed of thought that was eventually celebrated by their consecration. The grandiosity of these designs leads me to wonder if a transiting Jupiter – perhaps at the midpoint of Saturn and Neptune might have been involved.

I wondered next what idea might be planted now – with Jupiter at zero degrees of a Cardinal sign, drawing attention to these important degrees and perhaps signalling the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of 2026 at 0 Aries. Between now and then, and at the December solstice in 2020, Jupiter and Saturn align at 0 Aquarius – arguably the sign associated with astrology.

Where will our astrology be by 2026? Is it possible that, as Charles Carter might have done, we will have crossed an astrological frontier? Will our interpretations take into account the condition of the solar system and physical changes to our planets? Will we still be using the same keywords? Will our charts show the condition of the Sun at birth? Is it possible that we might also leave behind the 2-dimensional charts with which we are so familiar but which surely, in this high-tech age could be replaced by something offering greater perspective?

For example, if you want to purchase a house, you no longer look at just photographs or floor plans, the internet allows a virtual reality: at the very least a 3D version and the ability to walk through the structure at your own pace guiding a video camera as you do. Perhaps we ought to be asking our astro-programmers to develop something similar? We could then see at a glance whether or not a planet is truly rising, or is, owing to declination, actually nowhere near another planet or angle. We could also experience the relationship of the so-called ‘Fixed’ stars with the planets.

Is it possible that by 2026 we will be able to wear glasses that allow us to experience charts quite differently and that might permit us to experience the cosmos as it really was at that special moment: not just revealing the position of the planets but the energy of that part of space through which the solar system was then travelling?

Those who know me will know that I am not a fan of Jupiter transits. Like the genial host who keeps filling our glass oblivious to rising levels of intoxification, Jupiter offers so much – but not always coherently.

At the conference in Wyboston I showed an image of air traffic controllers with hands in the air as two planes looked close to collision from just beyond their window. Close inspection shows that their radar screens show a live baseball match and that they were presumably cheering the score – oblivious to the potential devastation in the skies just beyond.

I hope that with Jupiter nearing my Libra stellium that I am not guilty of diverting energy.  Rather, I hope that I may have enthused you to consider the developments that we might make and the ‘astrological cathedral’ that could be celebrated in 2026. In short, I would like to see us ‘up our game’ by improving our understanding of the mathematics at work in the universe,

Lastly I would like to refer back to the wonderful work of Hartmut Warm and his book, ‘Signature of the Celestial Signatures’ and companion program that can be found at www.keplerstern.com. (There are also some superb youtube videos of his work)

Hartmut explores the rhythms of gravitational interaction and enchants with the quite exquisite and kinetic geometric shapes created by the planets as they orbit the Sun. It is, of course, not uncommon for astrologers to research these same cycles – usually over a period of a few hundred years and correlating the various phases of each with recorded history.

Hartmut reminds us that each cycle has a geometric connection to every other cycle and that the whole is hugely complex yet fantastically organised. The inter-connectedness of these various cycles is shown in the example of the view from Jupiter of sequenced Saturn-Neptune conjunctions. In fact, each of the patterns shown in Hartmut’s book is reminiscent of a crystal.

My father – not an astrologer himself – but hugely respectful of those who held the view that there was a link between the stars, planets and human behaviour, held a belief system that ‘we are all one’ but that like radios, we each tune into different frequencies.

I don’t find it difficult to imagine each piece of cosmic geometry as a crystal carrying a frequency that resonates with some more than others. Just as my brother and I learnt to tune our first transistor radios, I think it possible for us to tune into these frequencies provided that we know what to listen for.

If this is the case, then my hope is that from the present Jupiter Libra ingress, through to the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at 0 Aquarius, and on to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of 0 Aries, that we who share the thought that ‘as above, so below’ will tune in to this resonance and by February 2026, (by which time Pluto will have made Aquarius ingress) transform and improve the quality of our work. At conference in 2016, I hope we can celebrate our Electrical and Elegant Universe.

The progressed Moon in Declination

Following questions after the talk delivered at the London School of Astrology event in June 2016:

At the top of the page, select Graphic Ephemeris from the Dynamic Tools list

My preference is to use a start date of January 1st of the year someone is born. I then assume they will live to 100 (you can adjust as you wish!)

The next stage is READING the graph.

Every line matters and the intersections – whose years you can track – are especially important.

The large curves, which are those of the progressed Moon in Declination are especially important with the turning points of these curves often marking important years in a person or company’s life.

It is important to consider the 18 months period prior to a turning point. It is often decisions and events taking lace at these junctures that lead to a change of circumstances at the turning point itself.

Very often these involve family, property, asset management and general finance.

It should NOT be assumed that an apparent downward curve is indicative of ‘downward’ finances! or that the upward curve brings increase. Full focus should be given to that eighteen month period PRIOR to the turn and the 18 months thereafter. Generally this is a four year (2 Mars cycle) period of adjustment.
